Well Checks

The girls had their well check doctor visits last week ( a little late) Both girls are doing great! And are very healthy. Regan has finally caught up on the growth charts!

Here are the stats:

Sydney (4yrs3mo): Height 41", 50%. Weight 36 lbs., 50%. And she can see and hear just fine....phew! At her 3 year appt, she was 50% percentile as well...steady eddy.

Regan (22months): Height 34", 75%!!!!! Weight 25.5 lbs., 50%

Huge improvement here, at her last dr. visit, in October (15mo), Regan was only in the 25% percentile. (the appt. before that only 5% percentile) Regan normally eats as much as her big brother at most meals, so you would figure she would be catching up one of these days...geez!

Regan's 9 Month Well-Check

This week we had Regan's 9 month well check, two weeks early. Her appointment went well. She has gained more weight since her weight check at 7 months. She moved from the 1% to the 5% for weight. My pediatrician said that gain was a very good sign, and now she is progressing on a normal/expected curve. He thought by her 12 month check she would be more "average".

Regan started sitting up about two weeks ago. I still stay near or put something behind her, because she can still tip over :) We borrowed a jumper from my brother-in-law, and Regan has absolutely been loving it!!! You can see the joy on her face below:

Doctor Checkups

Yesterday I brought Sydney in for her 3 year checkup, and Regan in for her weight check. Great news on both of them. Sydney is doing great, loved all the "games" she was able to play so they could see if she is doing everything as a healthy 3-yr. should do. She giggled the whole time that Dr. John was listening to and checking her. He was even laughing. And this is all after I practically had to drag her in because she said she was SOOO scared of the doctor. Pretty funny... Sydney is 50% for both weight and height.

And Miss Regan finally has gained some weight. She gained nearly 2 lbs during the four weeks since her last appointment. Phew!! She had us all a little concerned. And I got to thinking, the week before her 6-month check she had a high fever for 2 days while we were in Florida. So maybe she lost some weight then, making it seem like she wasn't growing. It appears she is just small. We'll see how things shape up at her 9-month well check. Regan was 25% for height and 1% for weight. Dr. John thinks her weight will go up, but that she'll probably be on the lower end on the "percentile" scale.

Sydney and Regan love giggling at each other! They do it in the car and pretty much everywhere else when they can look at each other :)

All is Well...

Regan's pediatrician called to say that all the blood work was normal. She is not anemic, no signs of inflammation in her body, etc. Praise God!!

All I need to do is feed her all kinds of new solids, and go in and have her weight checked in a month.

My Peanut Regan!

Regan had her 6-month check on Friday. All went really well, except she is alittle smaller than she should be, weight wise. Her height was normal, and all of her developmental milestones are on. (except that she isn't sitting) But, my ped is a little concerned about her weight. The good thing is that she is growing in her length. I took her in today to have some blood work done. I will post after I hear from the doctor.
